We recommend that you don’t stretch the cords beyond 70% of their unstretched length. For example, our 120cm Spider Cord will comfortably stretch to about 200cm.
Spider Cords™ are constructed with a nylon braid which is up to 10x more abrasion–resistant than normal bungee cord braid. This means they last far longer than standard bungee cords and are particularly well-suited to everyday use with our covers.
Our covers and adjustable bungee cords are designed to quickly and easily cover loads and secure items. They are not load–rated so you should carefully assess your specific conditions and requirements to determine if you need load restraints.

Our cargo covers are designed for a general type of vehicle and trailer rather than a specific make or model. This means everyone can find a Spider Cover to suit their vehicle!
Most tray backs are 1.86m (6’) in width with only minor variation. Our load covers are designed to hang down 15cm (6”) on either side of a standard width tray with a flat load. This allows sufficient overhang to easily position the cover plus room for the adjustable Spider-Lock™ hooks and elastic attachment cords to attach to the side rails.
The standard tray length for a Dual Cab is 1.86m (6’) and 2.45m (8’) for a Single Cab, but the lengths can vary. Spider Tarp covers are designed for standard tray lengths, so they may be a little shorter or longer than your tray depending on the vehicle or tray manufacturer.
We understand that you may have unique cover requirements. You can have the benefits of the Spider-Lock™ attachment system by purchasing a generic tarp and a quantity of Spider-Cords with Carabiner. Just attach the carabiners to either the tarp eyelets or D Rings to create your own Spider cover making sure you have sufficient Spider-Cords™ to properly secure the cover.
We make two tarps for small box trailers. If you routinely have flat loads, the 2.0m (6’6”) x 1.4m (4’6”) Spider-Mesh™ cover will be best for you. It features a small overhang to allow sufficient room for the elastic cords and Spider-Lock™ hooks to pick up on side rails or other attachment points on the trailer.
You can also use this cover for higher loads but, for very high loads, you should consider the larger 2.3m x 1.7m waterproof PE cover. This cover is also well-suited for covering 6’ x 4’ box trailers with a cage and standard 7’ x 5’ trailers.
Our versatile 2.8m (9’3”) x 1.9m (6’3”) Spider-Mesh™ cover is ideally suited to covering 6’ x 4’ to 8’ x 5’ cage and large box trailers. These covers have eight permanently attached Spider-Cords™ and eight additional eyelets spaced evenly around the 50mm perimeter webbing. The 63cm (24”) Spider-Cord™ with Carabiner Four Pack (SCC63B-2) is the ideal accessory should you need additional semi-permanent tie downs.
Depending on the manufacturer, the load securing lugs on your pickup can be located on the tub floor or wall. We supply eight 63cm (24”) Spider-Cord™ with Carabiner attachment cords with our covers which can be attached to any of the eight large D-Rings around the inner perimeter 50mm (2”) webbing or, depending on the size of the cover, up to 12 eyelets perimeter webbing eyelets.
The inner webbing perimeter is sized so there’s sufficient distance between it and the sidewalls of most tubs so that the attachment cords can be easily tensioned for a flat load, and still allow a generous amount of cover to drape over the load within the tub for higher loads.
We produce three sizes of pickup truck covers in the United States for Short Bed (1.67m or 5’6”), Standard Bed (1.98m or 6, 6”) and Long Bed (2.45m or 8’). In Australia, as most pickups are configured as a Dual Cab with Short Bed, our Spider Tuff-Tarp™ truck cover is the ideal cover.
All our PE and solid PVC covers are waterproof. As our Pickup Truck load covers are designed to drape on the inside of the tub, you may need to lift the load off the bottom of the floor to prevent contact with any pooling water.
Our PE covers have reinforcement patches where the D-Ring webbing connects. This means the webbing securing our D-Rings is securely cross–stitched and sandwiched between six layers of 230gsm PE material.
With our heavier Spider-Mesh™ and PVC solid covers, we securely cross–stitch the D-Ring webbing which is sandwiched between two layers of cover material and the 50mm (2”) wide perimeter heavy–duty webbing.
We’ve never had an attachment cord D-Ring pull away from the cover!
If you are not concerned about water or dust ingress, or visibly hiding your load, Spider-Mesh™ has some unique benefits. While having great strength and durability, being an open weave means it drapes more easily over uneven loads and is far less prone to wind flap than solid covers.
